Dance, Tradition, and Friendship – The Performance of KUD Nera in Mórahalom
On October 16, 2026, we were once again able to welcome the dancers of KUD Nera from Novi Sad at the Kolo Serbian Cultural Center. Their ensemble enriched our festive program with music and dance, during which we also recalled the cooperation of the past two years.
Novi Sad Guests' Performance
After the festive moments, dance and music took center stage. The performance by the Nera Cultural and Artistic Association brought the richness of their traditions and the joy of dance to the audience in Mórahalom.
It was a pleasure to host the ensemble again, which has become a returning participant in our joint cultural programs over the past years. These meetings provide opportunities to learn about each other's traditions and to nurture the relationships between our communities.
Two Years with the Key of the Balkans
The Nera Cultural and Artistic Association from Novi Sad took over the Key of the Balkans in 2024. In the two years since then, numerous joint programs and performances have enriched its relationship with Mórahalom.
At the October 16th ceremony, Ivana Miletić, the president of the association, shared her experiences of cooperation. After her speech, she returned the traveling key to the city of Mórahalom, which was received by Mayor Zoltán Nógrádi.
The return of the key marked the end of a period, but the friendship forged during our joint work continues to connect us.
We Look Forward to the Next Meeting
Thank you to the members of KUD Nera for the beautiful performance, for the joint work of the past two years, and for the friendship! We are confident that we will have many more opportunities to meet at the Kolo Serbian Cultural Center and continue our cooperation with new programs.
We recall the moments of the performance and the ceremonial return of the key in the pictures below.
